The Seamaster De Ville, showcasing both refinement and high function, was the most important Omega line from a sales perspective from the latter part of the 1960's into the 1970's. It has a monocoque - or one piece - case which insured water resistance and slim, elegant profile. The case when new achieved high water resistance ratings by not having a separate case back.
This pleasing example is original down to the dial, hands, and winding crown.
Its about as honest and untouched as they come, appearing to never have been polished or had parts replaced.
Its case is good condition with wear on one lug. Other than the marks on the one lug it is in excellent condition. Its original untouched dial has warmed a bit giving it a true vintage look.
'60's and early 70's Seamasters are great long-term buys as parts are readily available for their well-made movements, and they're not hard to service.
One of our watchmakers has disassembled the movement down to the last screw and cleaned and oiled it. It is keeping very accurate time. For the finishing touch it comes equipped with a shark grain strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year international warranty on the movement and its function and a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.
