Omega's 500 series was one of the finest mass produced automatics from the era.
It measures approximately 35mm in diameter without the crown, in between the size of a Rolex Date and a Rolex Datejust.
It is 100% Omega down to the dial, hands, and winding crown.
It has had a true expert restoration and presents in gorgeous condition. The case presents as just short of mint - the only difference from when it left the factory is that the bezel has been given a high polish finish.
The dial has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye. It is is beautiful traditional royal blue.
1950's and 60's Seamasters that feature 500 series movements are excellent buys today because of their quality and relative ease and reasonable cost for servicing.
As part of the restoration the movement has been fully serviced by a Master Watchmaker. Although this was not an officially certified chronometer, amazingly, after half a century and an expert servicing it continues to keep chronometer grade time in four of the five testing positions.
Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to the watch's performance.
